Single-Particle Characterization
MISEV2023-aligned characterization, by default
Every characterization project ships with orthogonal sizing, positive + negative marker panels at single-EV resolution, particle:protein ratio, EV-TRACK deposit, and a MISEV2023 checklist on the back end. Below is the default panel; specific instrument selection is made per-project.
Nanoparticle tracking analysis (NTA)
Concentration and size distribution by Brownian motion (NanoSight). Run on every project as a baseline particle-count readout.
Resistive pulse sensing (RPS)
Orthogonal single-particle sizing and concentration that does not depend on light scattering. Cross-checked against NTA - divergence is a flag we act on, not a number we average.
Single-EV flow cytometry
Single-vesicle resolution flow for tetraspanin and custom-marker phenotyping (CytoFLEX configured for sub-200 nm). Includes positive (CD9/CD63/CD81) and negative (calnexin) marker controls per MISEV2023.
SP-IRIS / single-particle interferometry
ExoView-class single-vesicle phenotyping for surface marker co-expression and size at the single-particle level. Used routinely as a complementary single-EV readout.
Particle:protein ratio & total protein
BCA total protein paired with particle count to compute particle:protein purity ratios per MISEV2023 reporting. Built into every characterization package.
Western blot (positive + negative markers)
Bulk-level confirmation of CD9, CD63, CD81 (positive) and calnexin (negative cellular contamination) marker panels. Custom marker panels available on request.
