Isolation and Preparation

Isolation

The full breadth of EV isolation, fit to the sample matrix

We run all of the principal EV isolation modalities in routine practice. Method choice is made per-project against the sample matrix, the target subpopulation, the downstream assay, and the volume of starting material - not as a one-size workflow.

Differential / density ultracentrifugation

Classical pellet-based isolation for high-volume conditioned media and large biofluid volumes. The workhorse for high-mass preps when starting material allows.

Size exclusion chromatography (SEC)

Generic SEC workflows for gentle, native-state separation that preserves vesicle integrity. Column type and bed volume chosen to fit input volume and the downstream assay.

Tangential flow filtration (TFF)

For larger volumes and concentration workflows - especially in production-scale runs where reproducibility and throughput matter. Often paired with SEC polishing.

Automated, standardized density gradient (iodixanol)

Iodixanol-based density gradient isolation run on a standardized, automated platform for reproducibility and gentler density separation than sucrose. The method of choice when subpopulation resolution matters.

Affinity / pull-down isolation

Tetraspanin (CD9/CD63/CD81) and custom-marker affinity capture for subpopulation enrichment and EV phenotyping at the front end - especially when the question is about a defined vesicle subset.

Method selection & orthogonal isolation

Generic SEC workflows for gentle, native-stateFor ambiguous or precious samples, we routinely run orthogonal isolations (e.g., SEC vs. density gradient) and compare outputs by particle count, marker profile, and particle-to-protein ratio before settling on a final SOP for your project. separation that preserves vesicle integrity. Column type and bed volume chosen to fit input volume and the downstream assay.

Sample Matrix

Any biofluid, conditioned media, or engineered prep

We accept essentially any matrix: plasma, serum, urine, CSF, saliva, milk, ascites, BAL, tumor interstitial fluid, conditioned media from your cells. If you do not have producing cells in hand, we can generate the conditioned media for you in-house - see EV production.

Biofluids

Plasma, serum, urine, CSF, saliva, ascites, milk, BAL, lavage, interstitial fluid, synovial fluid, and most other clinical or preclinical biofluids. Pre-analytical handling reviewed up front to protect downstream readouts.

Conditioned media (yours or ours)

Send us your conditioned media, or ship us your cell line and we will generate vesicle-depleted CM, scale, and harvest in-house under standardized SOPs.

Engineered / loaded EVs & nanoparticles

Engineered EVs, surface-modified vesicles, loaded EVs, biomimetic nanoparticles, and synthetic comparators (liposomes/LNPs) - characterized side-by-side with native EVs.
